There's no reason to eat a Panchos I tell ya!

I saw this restaurant a few weeks ago, and I had been wanting to try it just to see how it measures up to Panchos.

This restaurant is a sit down restaurant with an actual menu, and a real buffet. That's right, a buffet you can go right up to and get your own cheap slop.

I only glanced at the menu. A pretty small selection with the typical stuff like fajitas, burritos, etc. Needless to say I got the buffet. That was the reason why I was there. By the way, the buffet is slightly more expensive than panchos. $8.55

The waitresses and cooks were all of mexican(?) origin. The owner seemed to be american, but spoke perfect spanish. Very different from the demographical setting of panchos, where you have to point at the food you want because the dumb apes don't know what a chimichanga is.

Our waitress brought us chips and salsa, and the salsa was kinda bad.

The buffet was small, but had some good stuff. First of all, they had chicken Fajitas! that's right... all you can eat fajitas. (you have to ask the waitress to bring you flour tortillas). Ok, so the fajitas weren't hot and sizzling, but they weren't half bad. There were also enchiladas, taco meat and shells, salad bar, chimichangas, beans, rice, some other weird stuff, Quesadillas, smoked chicken flautas, and creamy queso!

I got pretty much everything except for the "some other weird stuff", and the only thing that was gross was the enchiladas. I highly recommend the greasy empenadas and the tacos! and of course the fajitas.

here are my complaints, and i do believe they are worth mentioning:

The buffet did not have the following things:
Guacamole, sour cream, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes. But my meat/cheese tacos were awesome.

Where's the dessert? Their ice cream machine was out of order, and their sopapillas were like chips with powdered sugar and honey.

Bottom line: This is an awesome reason not to go to Panchos. This place is actually worth going to. They even give you a punch card to buy like 8 meals and get one free. Lunch Buffet is $6.99

Here's my new mexirank

1. Nimfa's- medium price range, excellent food and service.
2. Casa Maria- Medium price range, great food.
2. Las palmas- This ties with Casa maria. I'll need to eat there again to rank it.
3. El Rancho- Low price, good food, great service
4. El Magey- medium price, good food, and a real buffet.
5. Moe's Southwest Grill- good food, nice atmosphere, medium-low price
6. Taco Bell- Low price, decent food, fast food service
7. La Fonda's- Edible food, smelly restaurant, mediocre service
8. Cactus cafe- medium price, edible food, tolerable-bad service
9. Pancho's- Low quality, occasionally edible, medium price, good service.
